The Best Care For Your Furever Friends
FAQ
How do I start using your services?
I am so happy that you are interested in hiring me to care for your babies! To get started, please contact me by using the contact form located at the bottom of the page. You can also schedule a free Meet & Greet here!
I am more than happy to answer any questions you may have about pet care for your family members.
If I miss your call, I promise to get back to you within the same day, and as soon as possible. Emails will also be returned ASAP.
After we have connected, the next step is to schedule a Meet & Greet. You can do this via phone with me or by filling out the form located here. Doing so will allow everyone to be more comfortable and open up more doors for discussion as well as any more detailed questions and concerns you have thought of. The Meet & Greet is especially needed to determine whether or not your furbabies will be comfortable around me. I have yet to encounter an instance in which an animal did not like me, but sometimes certain animals and people just do not mesh well for some reason or another. All parties should be 100% comfortable with one another by the end of the meeting.
A Meet & Greet Visit is required for all new clients prior to the start of the first scheduled pet service. There is no charge for a consultation visit.
I accept most forms of payments so this is dependent on what you are most comfortable with. For ease of use, I have direct deposit set up via both the Venmo and the Cash Apps through Apple as well as with PayPal. I also accept cash or check.
For Overnight, Daytime and Extended Sitting, payment is due the first day of the service. I do not deposit cash or checks until completion of the care for your family.
Dog walk services are billed weekly or bi-weekly. If you do not want a set time frame for each walk, I will hand you a report at the end of the week (typically Friday) with the duration of each walk and the total owed for that week. The payment is due in full the following Monday.
I understand extenuating circumstances and life in general sometimes just... happen. I will always do my best to work with you in regards to late payments etc. If there is a missed payment for walking (ONLY), I will let you know by phone/text and add what is owed onto the following payment date. If I do not receive at least partial payment by said date, walking services will be cancelled until the payment is received. If the above becomes a regular occurrence, I hold the right to end walking services without notice and at any time.

How do you handle last minute and emergency care?
Generally, I ask that any length of care that is desired, be reserved at least 5 days in advance. During especially busy times such as the summer and around the holidays, availability can be difficult to come by.
Sometimes unfortunately, life sends us last minute emergencies. Please call or text for last minute care requests. Your pets are very important to me and I will do my best to accommodate last minute emergency requests from current clients.
I cannot accept last minute or emergency care requests from new clients if there has not been enough time to set up a Meet & Greet prior to the request. This is simply due to safety and security issues for both myself and your pet(s).
Do you take pets into your home?
No, your pets remain in your home and I come to them.
Your babies will be much happier at home in their own environment, with familiar smells and sounds. They will be far less stressed at home, with me watching over them in their own space.
Upon completion of each pet sit, overnight and extended stays, I clean up after myself including any bedding, towels, dishes etc. that were used during my stay. I leave a pet report card with pictures and details about what happened while you were away.
What is your Cancellation Policy?
Cancellations must be received by phone or email. Due to the nature of pet sitting, it is not often that an appointment can be filled when cancelled within a week of the start date. As your pet sitter and/or walker, I plan my life around the needs of your pet(s). Please review the following cancellation policy to familiarize yourself with my terms of service:
Vacation Visits/ Pet Sitting must be cancelled at least ONE WEEK from the start date of the reservation. The Client will be responsible for half (50%) of the total invoice if scheduled pet care is cancelled within this time period.
Dog walk service cancellations must be made 24 hours prior to the next scheduled walk. Client is responsible for half (50%) of the full walk rate in the case of same-day cancellations.
Do I need to give you a key?
Yes. In order to ensure that I can safely enter your home and lock up afterward as well as your pets well being, I require at least one key to your home.
Garage door openers, touch codes or remote alarm FOBs are not accepted. Occasions may occur when those devices fail. The expense of making a spare key is much less than to face a lock-smith’s bill in the event that I am unable to enter the home because of a failed garage door opener or touch pad.
Your house key will be identified with a unique code that gives no indication of your address, and kept in a secure location.
My house has an alarm system. Can you handle that?
Yes! There are many alarm companies that allow you to set up a particular code specifically for someone (in this case, a pet sitter), so that you don’t have to give me your master code.
We can discuss this more at the Meet & Greet appointment. Alarm FOBs are not accepted as means of arming or disarming an alarm system.
What do you do if a pet becomes sick or injured?
Your pet’s health and well-being is my top priority, and I take emergency care very seriously. At our initial consult, we will discuss your instructions for your pet's emergency care. This includes your primary vet's information and location, emergency contact information and backup plans.
If your pet suffers a life-threatening emergency (bleeding, shock, trauma) i will immediately transport them to the nearest Emergency Pet Hospital. You, or your emergency contact if you are unavailable, will be called once I reach the emergency pet hospital and be put in direct contact with the emergency veterinary staff.
If your pet is ill, showing signs of illness or suffers a non-life-threatening emergency I will call you immediately. After discussing the course of action over phone I will then transport your pet to your preferred veterinarian or the nearest Emergency Pet Hospital (after hours or on weekends.). Once at the hospital, I will be in constant contact about your pet’s care.
Are there pet care assignments you won’t take?
Each pet care relationship is considered on a case-by-case basis. Your pet’s needs will always come first. I have a background and foundation in many areas of this field and have encountered numerous individual needs, circumstances and problems in the past. I generally feel more than able to handle most pet care situations including special needs pets, elderly/sickly care, and medication administration. There are, however, some instances where I may choose not to provide my services. I welcome all questions you may have concerning your pets. Please do not hesitate to get in touch with me and we can address any concerns in more detail
What special services do you offer?
-
Media sharing! One of the things that I love to do most during my visits is take photos and/or video(s) of your furbabies during some of their cutest, candid moments and send them to you via phone. It is a great way to stay connected and see first hand that your babies are doing great while you are away. I will typically send at least one photo a day and more upon request or if your little ones are just being extra cute that day.
-
Skype! Yep, for those extended periods and even if you just want to check up on your babies in real-time I offer FREE Skype sessions. Please allow at least 2 hours notice so that we may both cordinate our schedules properly.
-
Daily texts! Upon completion of walks and/or visitations, I will text you to let you know your pet(s) are doing great and are all set for the day. During pet baby-sitting, I can texts you as many or as few times a day as you'd like (within reason).
-
Pet report cards! Upon completion of walks and/or visitations, I leave behind a pet report card detailing all that took place while I was caring for your babies. At the end of pet sits and extended stays, I leave behind an even more detailed version along with cute pictures and happenings.
**You may opt in or out of these services at any time by connecting with me and letting me know you preferences. These are all FREE OF CHARGE.
